When sewing national cotton jackets, sometimes valuable fabric materials remain. This includes colorful pieces of Kihnu fabric, delicate romantic Vormsi fabric, and the magnificent Muhu jacquard fabric. The fabric scraps from cotton jackets can be used wonderfully to make some smaller items, for example, sewing one of them into a nice, national style pencil case made of fabrics from the island(s) close to our hearts.

The knitting bag has been a practical companion for Kihnu women throughout the ages. The knitting bag is used to store unfinished knitting and the balls of yarn needed for the work. In the old days, a Kihnu woman would not go anywhere without her knitting bag. At any free moment, she would take her knitting out of the bag and let her fingers do their work quickly.
A beautiful and practical drawstring bag is still a good helper today.
