Three days of joy and good mood, fine crochet lace and wonderful food, rainy weather, and great company. All this was what the participants of Aada's second Irish Lace Summer Course experienced at the lovely Koka farm in Võru County.
First of all, lots of crocheting. Roses and wild roses, snowflakes and shamrocks, sunflowers and rose petals. Magnifying glasses and incredibly thin crochet hooks, Clones knot and connecting motifs with a filling.
We were able to enjoy the mouth-watering culinary masterpieces of the landlady Karin. The duck meat with fresh focaccia, accompanied by a fresh salad with watermelon, strawberries, mozzarella, and homemade balsamic, was delicious! And that pizza made in the pizza oven - which everyone could make for themselves! We will be back next year just for Karin's food.
One evening, we visited Mrs. Asta, who lives nearby, and saw her collection of 1,200 dolls!
Most of her dolls are made from recycled materials and have been restored by Mrs. Asta herself.
A big thank you to everyone involved! See you next summer!
