Once you've had your fill of quilting using straight strips, regular squares, and precisely measured triangles, it's time to move on to new challenges. Curved line quilting is a new world of possibilities. We'll cut and sew longer and shorter strip lines, and sew blocks with witty names like Grandma's Fan and Drunk Man's Path.
The course is intended for advanced students, we will not learn how to use patchwork tools and techniques here. The course lasts 12 academic hours. We will meet three times (4 academic hours each).
During the course, each participant will sew one quilt with curved lines (larger quilts will be finished later) or other item. If desired, appliqués can be added to the quilt. Those registered for the course will receive information about the required materials via email.
The course instructor learned the curved strip quilting technique at Gartmore House in Scotland on a quilting course, with instructor Clare Workman.
