Quilting is a thrifty hobby that allows you to turn old fabrics and out-of-size clothing into wonderful blankets and other items.
The beginner's course is intended for those who have not yet encountered patchwork. All that is needed is basic skills and the ability to use a sewing machine. We will learn to use patchwork tools and techniques. We will learn several different patchwork techniques. All participants in the training will receive a written guide with drawings on how to sew the techniques learned in the course. The craft room has sewing machines and all the tools necessary for patchwork. More detailed information about the fabrics needed can be obtained from the instructor.
All participants will complete at least one piece of patchwork as homework during the course. In order to be able to sew the piece to completion, we will learn how to attach layers, quilt and hem. We will also talk about finishing and maintaining the patchwork.
The course lasts 40 academic hours. We meet ten times (4 academic hours each).
