Foundation Paper Piecing

Foundation Paper Piecing is a quilting technique that allows you to sew images with very fine detail with great precision. The images are sewn using a base fabric or paper as a support. I have learned the foundation piecing technique on a quilting course at Gartmore House in Scotland. The bearberry pattern in the picture is by my instructor Clare Workman.
